Eligibility 

• Must be sponsored by an eligible child who is a settled Australian citizen, Australian Permanent resident, or Eligible New Zealand citizen

• Must meet the balance-of-family test

• Must adhere to all visa conditions and Australian law

• Cannot have already applied for or hold a Sponsored Parent (Temporary) (Subclass 870) visa when applying for this visa

• Due to COVID-19, the Department is not currently asking Family visa applicants to travel offshore. A temporary concession has been made available since 24 March 2021
